FAQs

What is College Readiness?

We’re not your standard college consulting firm. We work with students to create a narrative through helping them find what they love instead of doing what they think will impress admissions officers. Our method helps students grow into the strongest thinkers in their respective fields and inadvertently impress admissions officers by becoming interesting people. Our process is focused on the holistic method, and we prepare your child for each area of the college app through each of our services—all of which we place under the umbrella of “College Readiness.” We focus on essay writing, career coaching, resume writing, narrative building, and test prep as comprehensive components of the college readiness process. Our goal is to help your cild grow as a thinker, professional, and young change-maker.

Why should I learn how to write well?

Writing is crucial to any walk of life! If you are able to set your ideas down on a page, you will become a stronger critical thinker and rhetorician. Whether your objective is persuading an employer to hire you as a financial professional or persuading your English teacher that Charles Dickens is better than Jane Austen, we’ll help you become a stronger writer to achieve your goals!

How expensive are your services?

We offer a wide range of packages to suit all needs and budgets, and we will work with your family to help make our services viable and affordable. Our professionals are compensated based on experience, and, accordingly, each professional will charge different rates. We offer several package discounts, including the 10 hour, 20 hour, and 50 hour packages. Clients who wish to pay in installments can purchase our pay as you go service, which will never require larger upfront payments.

At Invictus Prep, we offer standardized test prep for the SAT, ACT, and AP exams. Our tutors work one-on-one with students to help them get ready for test day through our 10-hour package, 20-hour package, or pay-as-you-go option. In the past, our students have increased their scores from 1200 to 1490 on the SAT and 28 to 35 on the ACT. We are also happy to help students who have not yet taken these exams.

What age groups do you work with?

We are very flexible! Most of our current students are high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, but we have worked with students as early as the sixth grade and as late as college.

What happens in the trial call?

The trial call helps us get to know you and you get to know us! We usually spend the first fifteen minutes getting to know your child, and then we spend the rest of the call previewing our college readiness method!

Are your sessions only conducted in-person?

Nope! Although we were founded in Texas, we operate 100% remotely and will be sending you a Zoom link to get started with us!
